Asgard 18 with RTX 5060: gaming on 18 inches
The Asgard 18 combines an Intel Core i7-14650HX with 16 cores and an NVIDIA RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7. Translated to real-world use: modern games on high settings, video editing in DaVinci Resolve without stuttering, and enough headroom to run a 3D render in the background while you have Discord open. The 18 inch screen gives you significantly more workspace than standard 15 or 16 inch laptops, which you'll notice immediately when working in Premiere Pro or trying to keep an eye on an extensive HUD in an MMO.
What that RTX 5060 actually delivers
The RTX 5060 runs here at a total TGP of 130W (115W + 15W Dynamic Boost). That matters, because the same GPU name can get significantly less wattage in other laptops, resulting in lower framerates. With 3328 CUDA cores, ray tracing and DLSS, you get smooth visuals in games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy and Alan Wake 2 at Full HD+ with high settings. The 144Hz panel finishes what the GPU starts: fast-paced shooters feel crisp, and the 8ms response time keeps ghosting in check.
The display: 18 inch Full HD+ at 144Hz
An 18" Full HD+ panel (1920x1200) with 400 nits brightness, 100% sRGB coverage and a matte coating. That 16:10 aspect ratio gives you more vertical space than a classic 16:9 — handy for Word, Excel, code editors and timelines in video software. The 400 nits also make the display perfectly usable in a brightly lit living room or office. With 75% DCI-P3 and 75% Adobe RGB, this panel is also suitable for content creators who edit photos or design thumbnails.
Memory, storage and upgrading
Shipped as standard with 16GB DDR5-5600 and 2x 1TB NVMe SSD. That's 2TB of storage out of the box, which means you can put Windows, your games and your project files on separate drives. Want more later? The motherboard supports up to 128GB DDR5 via two SODIMM slots, and there are two M.2 2280 slots with PCIe Gen 4 support. Future-proof enough to keep you going for years without having to replace anything.
Ports you'll actually use
The Asgard 18 doesn't skimp on ports. You get:
- 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (one with 100W Power Delivery)
- 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2
- 1x HDMI 2.1 (4K @ 120Hz)
- 1x Mini DisplayPort 2.1a
- 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45)
- SD card reader (SD/SDHC/SDXC)
- Combined audio jack
You can also connect external monitors via the USB-C ports. In total, the laptop can drive up to 5 displays simultaneously — ideal for an extensive workstation or streaming setup.
Keyboard, webcam and everyday use
Chiclet keyboard with silent switches, per-key RGB lighting in 15 selectable colours, and a numeric keypad. Comfortable if you type a lot or work with spreadsheets. The IR+FHD webcam supports Windows Hello, so you sign in with your face — faster than typing a password. Wi-Fi 6E via the Intel AX211 chip and Bluetooth 5.4 provide stable wireless connections, even on busy networks.
Who is this Asgard 18 for?
This laptop suits gamers who want a big screen without building a desktop, students in technical programmes running heavier software, and freelancers in the creative field who want to render and edit on the go. The Asgard 18 is assembled in the Netherlands and comes with 2 years of warranty and service from Emmen. Configure it exactly how you want: more RAM, extra SSD, different operating system — you decide.
